FUTURE ENGINEERS
Visual Identity
In 2001 I worked on various sleeve designs for the Future Engineers whilst working in the design department at Good Looking Records. Fast forward to 2021, and following a long overdue catch-up, they briefed me to refresh their visual identity.
Lee from Future Engineers wanted something fresh and contemporary that would give them a base to relaunch the label and music. So we worked from the ground up producing a completely new look and feel, centred around the new 'FE' logo marque. An updated typography and graphic system complimented the fresh take on imagery leaving towards a typically futuristic and dystopian approach.
This then filtered into the Transference label they release their music on – the visual identity dictating the approach to the release artwork, launch campaigns across socials and supporting animations for the music itself.
Their vision didn't stop there as Lee's aim was to also launch their new 'Production Sessions' offering. A place where musicians join online group sessions working on productions as a collective, learning advanced techniques in the process. The first sessions started in 2020 as the world paused due to the pandemic, and proved to be a creative and positive outlet during difficult times.
The label, releases, production sessions and recently launched Transference Radio continue to gather pace with much more to come in the following months.

TRANSFERENCE
The return of the label and new music
The Transference relaunch in 2022 sees the latest release showcasing the outputs from the Future Engineers online Production Sessions.
The sessions have evolved into two collectives operating remotely and in different timezones, each working to deliver brand new pieces of forward-thinking atmospheric drum & bass.
Working closely with the Future Engineers the studio created the sleeve artwork, launch campaign, and full-length mood videos for the two singles.
