Brand Identity
A unified look and feel for Kuano who are redefining drug discovery with Quantum and AI
Kuano is an industry-leading team of physicists, chemists, and computer scientists committed to using cutting-edge technologies that combine drug discovery to make a difference in people’s lives. Kuano's approach is to combine state-of-the-art simulation and AI to add quantum detail to structure-based drug discovery. Their unique fusion of drug hunting and technology expertise allows them to illuminate new areas of chemical space enabling the design of next-generation medicines.
Kuano needed a new look and feel as they developed their offering in 2020. They were looking for something fresh and bold that would set them apart in their sector. We wanted to move away from the more obvious 'dark tech' approach so we built around an electric blue as the principal brand colour. A simple abstract origami-esque 'K' marque was developed, the idea being it alluded to both 2D and 3D environments and would be brought to life in motion – folding, revealing, and morphing into various configurations.
Since the new brand identity has been in place Kuana has successfully navigated multiple rounds of funding and continues to develop their offering.
